Recommended WordPress Plugins

Since I’m an advocate of using WordPress for your website or blog, I’m often asked what plugins I recommend. Plugins can be tricky, because the more you add the more can go wrong. Plugins need updated on occasion, and many of them are not coded very well. This can cause things to break when you install them.

As if that weren’t enough, it’s also important to understand that not all plugins are compatible with everything else. A plugin or theme you already have installed may not play nice with a new one you want to install. Keep this in mind when you go installing new plugins on your WordPress site.

So what’s the solution? If you’re new to WordPress, simply use the plugins in this list. I’ve done all the work and testing for you 🙂 All the plugins here are all well-coded and work perfectly with each other. Combine these with any well-coded theme, and you’ll be off to the races. If you want to install anything new in the future, just make sure to create a backup of your website first. Then if you have problems installing something new, you can always just revert back to your backup.
